TAG DER CLUBKULTUR 2022 – Clubcommission Berlin

– Application Phase: August 1st to August 15th –

TAG DER CLUBKULTUR was launched on the initiative of Berlin Clubcommission, the Senate Department for Culture and Europe and the Musicboard, and will once again in 2022 honor the diversity of Berlin‘s club culture and the special commitment of the Berlin scene. An associated prize will award a total of 40 clubs and collectives in the city with 10,000 euros each. This offers the applicants an opportunity to reflect on their contribution to Berlin club culture and to help shape the club culture of tomorrow. All Berlin clubs and collectives can apply for the award in the context of the TAG DER CLUBKULTUR. The 40 awarded clubs and collectives will have the opportunity to present their own events throughout the city as part of a showcase festival from October 3rd to 9th. In addition, DER TAG DER CLUBKULTUR establishes itself as a cultural award for the Berlin club scene and will support clubs and collectives every year from now on.

Berlin’s club culture can only be understood in context of its long history, its contant evoluation, and the ever-present threats it faces. This year’s edition is dedicated to these traces, questions and challenges under the thematic focus „GROWING ROOTS -SHAPING SPACES“.

Applications are open from August 1-15, 2022via tagderclubkultur.berlin. Here you can also download the entire call for entries and the conditions of participation. You can submit your application via the online form at www.tagderclubkultur.berlin by August 15, 2022, 24am the latest. For reasons of equal treatment, subsequent submissions will not be accepted.

An independent, five-member board of trustees, representing diverse perspective on the Berlin club scene, decides on the awards for TAG DER CLUBKULTUR 2022. This year, the board of trustees consists of Christine Kakaire, Lilia van Beukering, Nico Adomako, Prince Emrah and Cinthie. You can find more information here.
