Sexism Free Night
Sexism Free Night is a project involving nightlife promoters, NGOs and a University that aims to reduce sexual violence and sexism in nightlife scenes by raising awareness among party goers and promoting safer and more egalitarian nightlife environments.

We stand for:
– A future where nightlife embraces a gender perspective in the promotion of safety, diversity & valuable experiences for all.
– The recognition of nightlife’s key role in shaping urban scenes and identities by offering space-times for creative development, experimentation and cultural activation of individuals & communities.
– The counteraction of a male-dominated, binary, gender stereotyped and structurally unequal industry that limits opportunities, promotes violence and compromises freedom of expression and transcendence.
– Nightlife’s gender mainstreaming through a multicomponent & participatory approach aimed at night-time cultures and stakeholders.
– The cooperation with other initiatives that contribute to the eradication of sexism joining efforts in the intervention with violence survivors or perpetrators.
After more than two years of working together in the Sexism Free Night network, the international collaborative project has developed trainings, a campaign and conducted intensive research:
